Lapham Peak
Fright Hike

FALL 2022

About Fright Hike

Join us in the Fall of 2022 for the 23rd Annual Fright Hike at Lapham Peak State Park.

Each Halloween season, for two nights only, the beautiful, moonlit, paths of Lapham Peak State Park are riddled with ghosts and goblins. Walk the haunted trails, if you dare! Afterwards, enjoy live music and concessions by the bonfire.

Brought to you by the Friends of Lapham Peak, Fright Hike is a walk through the dark forest with scary scenes performed along a 1+ mile trail. Proceeds benefit the Friends of Lapham Peak's Projects that directly support Lapham Peak State Park!

Wandering Spooks and Skits provided by local organizations will create a scary time throughout the hike. Fright Hike is intended to be a fun but scary experience and generally not recommended for very young children. Use your own discretion if you choose to bring them with you.

Approximately 4,000 hikers from throughout southern Wisconsin attend every year.

Music, a bonfire, and concessions are available in the staging area - to be enjoyed before and after the hike.

The hike is located at the Evergreen Parking lot at Lapham Peak State Park in the Kettle Moraine State Forest.  Click for map.
